Vintage West German Art Piece

A rare vintage plaque or brooch featuring hand-painted flowers on what appears to be an ivory plastic base. Made in West Germany, this pretty piece is likely from the early 1900s. It has an unusual fastener on the back and will need to be modified to be worn. Alternatively it could be framed, artfully hung on a wall or displayed on a miniature easel. Floral motifs, like the roses and other blossoms seen here, were common in this period. A circle, it is 3 inches in diameter. In great shape on the surface with no imperfections. The back has a few small nicks and scratches reflecting its vintage. Would make a thoughtful gift for a collector of pretty things.
