Vintage Whoopsie Daisy Ashtray with Parasol, Cheeky Girl Novelty Ceramic Trinke

This is a rare version of the kitschy 1950's novelty "whoopsie girl" ceramic ashtray with a lace parasol. This cheeky gal has taken a tumble and is showing off her frilly lace knickers. Part innocent, part pin-up, she encapsulates the attitude of the 1950's. The girl is handpainted ceramic and the parasol is starched lace on a metal frame. Marked GC Japan. Intended use is an ashtray, but she is a cute little jewelry valet, or merely as kitschy decor. Measurements: 4 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall, including parasol. Condition: The parasol has seen better days. Grime from over the years has settled in the starched lace and it is a bit bent out of shape. The ceramic is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. Some wear to the gold on her feet.
