Antique Wool pink and cream 64x76 blanket
there’s no Hudson’s Bay label, but it is still vintage, possibly from a homemade or regional mill-made blanket that mimicked the classic point blanket style (which many did throughout the 20th century)
1. Wool Camp or Military-Style Blanket (Mid 20th Century)
• The stitching, weight, and color stripes resemble blankets made in the 1950s–1970s by mills like Faribault Woolen Mill, Pendleton, or other regional North American woolen companies.
• These companies often made solid or striped wool blankets for domestic use, military contracts, or department stores—sometimes without labels, especially if the label wore off or was never sewn on
2. Homemade/Hand-Finished
• The hand-stitched edge seen in the third image suggests someone may have hand-bound the edge, which was a common way to finish wool blankets at home back in the day.
3. Not Hudson’s Bay, But Similar Look
• Because it has the cream base and muted stripes, it emulates the Hudson’s Bay style but isn’t necessarily from them. This is still desirable to vintage and cottagecore collectors.
