Vintage Woolrich Sweater – Men’s Approximate Size L – Green/Red/Back/Grey

If you’re looking for a Christmas sweater that isn’t crazy – but *is* vintage – this rare find is for you! According to the Woolrich website, the tag on this sweater indicates that it was made between the 1960s and 1970s. Moreover, it’s a strong indicator that it was made in the USA, as all Woolrich productions was still there at this time. This sweater is in remarkably good condition for its age. While there is no tag to confirm that this is a wool sweater, I believe that it is. The stated size large is an approximation, as there is no size tag; it measures 20” (50.5cm) from pit-to-pit, and 24” (61cm) in length (collar to bottom). As noted on its website, “As the oldest outdoor wear manufacturer in the whole of the USA, Woolrich has an unrivaled legacy in creating rugged clothing perfect for the outdoors. John Rich, co-founder emigrated from Liverpool, England, to the USA in the early 1800s, and after moving to Pennsylvania, he would meet Daniel McCormick. Using his knowledge, John Rich and Daniel McCormick founded Woolrich Inc. in 1830.
