Vintage almost Antique Bakelite Dresser Set circa 1930’s

I inherited this from my Mother, and she inherited it from her mother. It has some wear on most pieces due to usage but on the tray it has a chip on the edge.overall for age I think in great condition. I am u sure what the little sponge brush is for, but if you know please let me know
