Vintage authentic Damascene brooch with singing bird, 24K or 22 Karat gold foil

Original vintage Damascene brooch. Handmade. From the 1950th or earlier, most likely from Toledo, Spain. In excellent condition. 1.5" in diameter. Rare unique style pin closure. The side cap has to be moved in and out to close / open. Ancient Damascene technique uses real 24 Karat or 22 Karat gold foil that is hand hammered into the oxidized black metal. In rare cases the artists also used 925 sterling silver foil. Looks like this brooch is one of those rare pieces: the bird's belly is made of sterling silver foil.
