A slender line of vintage luxury — this dark burgundy crocodile leather belt carries the quiet glam of 1970s Quebec boutique craftsmanship. Purchased in 1976 & never worn, it has been carefully kept in storage for decades, its condition remarkably pristine.
The upper leather was sold in a high end boutique as true crocodile, though the piece is not marked as such — priced here accordingly — its texture & pattern reflect the refinement typical of genuine crocodile skins. The brownish lining remains smooth & intact, a testament to quality workmanship & material that endures beautifully.
Its sleek 10 mm width makes it ideal for threading through fine loops or defining the waist of a knit dress. The gold-and-silver mixed-metal buckle, with its sculptural triple-band form, brings a modern polish with elegant grace. Total length ~34.5 in.
Max useful length ~32 in (can add ½ in with extra hole)
It echoes the quiet luxury revival seen across runways with slim silhouettes, tactile leathers & heritage detailing
Hue vary with light: the true colour is deep burgundy the new neutral according to fashionistas. Its tone transitions easily across seasons as it can be paired nicely with most colours: consult the listing of my closet “Burgundy, the new neutral” for ideas. Style tip: layer it over a silk blouse, a fitted cardigan, or a tailored jacket to highlight the metallic buckle & deep burgundy. See this listing photos for other ideas.
Timeless, minimalist & rare — a wardrobe gem.
