Vintage brass flower frog, decorative metal mystery item, antique telephone horn

...shower head A true mystery item, I spent some time trying to look it up and asking others if they recognise this item but no luck. My best guess at this point it that it is a part of a larger mechanical piece, from a science lab, an metal workers apprentice piece, or simply an art object. It looks a lot like a shower head, hair dryer or telephone part. The ´handle´ has a hole that goes into the outer chamber, which is also connected to the little holes to the ´front´. The back part shows fan-shaped cut-outs, which are connected to an inner chamber inside the piece. In short, it would make a wonderful flower frog. Literally no-one else will have one like this. Size: 5-3/4 inches long x 2-3/4 inches tall (14.5 cm long x 7 cm tall)
