Vintage brass pen stand, fabric lined home office desk tidy, weighted base

...pencil organizer A brassy pen stand or pencil holder, the bottom weighed down (likely with a piece of lead or iron) and the inside lined in a velveteen material in a dark navy colour. With some marks of age and use on the outside metal, including dust on the inside of the holder and a corner of the same velveteen on the bottom peeling back. It looks like the metal has a coat of sealant or lacquer so it won´t discolour or degrade very quickly. It would be perfect to keep pens and pencils, rulers or a pair of scissors out of the way.
