Vintage bug cocktail statement ring

Neat vintage ring that I think is a beetle or cicada but seems to round to be a cicada 😊 Vintage condition with signs of wear due to age and use. Missing one small rhinestone, some surface marks on the black centre part and patina on the back. I think the stone is resin not a rock or glass. No stamps.
