Vintage carved Jet elephant charm

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Super adorable and extremely lightweight. Perfect for a charm necklace or bracelet. Jet is somewhat fragile so I would caution if put on a bracelet to be gentle! It's hardness is between 2.5 and 4 on the mohs scale. Jet is associated with Capricorn and thought to protect the wearer from evil intent. It was also a popular material for mourning jewelry in the Victorian era.
