🎁Vintage “elegant elephant” brooch in lucite caramel w/ rhinestone eye

Don’t you like the expression “” elegant sexy elephant “? 🙃 If you know elephants and watch how they walk, they amble in a sexy way!!! 😜 The lines of this brooch are elegant. Hence the catchy expression! Back to the brooch: Vintage fr/the late 1970’s. Inscribed at the back with B+D, Denmark. B+D stands for Buch and Deichmann. This line was making high-end jewelry using lucite in all kinds of beautiful colours. Their original modern and minimalist creations were avant-garde. They stopped producing those after about a decade (mid-1970’s to mid-1980’s) so this piece will increase in value with time. Their jewelry was the rage despite their high price for lucite media. This one is ac profile of an elephant with a rhinestone as its eye! Colour is caramel. Hue will vary with light. The featured picture is the closest to the real thing. Material: translucent lucite, a kind of acrylic that is pretty because it allows the light to go thru: the brooch is further refined with its fine lines and details of the ears and trunk. The small pin on the back has a rollover clasp and is in good working order. The quarter is for sizing. It is about 1-1/4 inch by 3/4 inch. Condition; despite its age (from the 1970’s) it is like new- has no sign of wear, so good for a gift.
