Vintage extra large hand painted paper wall fan gold with cranes & lotus flowers

This gorgeous over-sized Japanese paper and bamboo wall fan is hand painted with Sandhill Cranes, water lily lotus flowers, peonies, and mountains on a shimmering gold background. The stunning front facing imagery is in near perfect condition with no rips, tears, stains or signs of repair. It measures 30" long when closed and 60" (5 feet) wide when open! The red lacquered bamboo ribs are all intact with no chips and open and close freely. The only damage appears on the backside of the fan with some small tears in the backing paper. Truly incredible condition for a piece of the size and age. It will be shipped in a heavy duty cylinder shipping tube.
