Vintage japerware by WEDGEWOOD, trinket box , made in England, 1967, very good condition. no break. no crack no repair.no chip ,very detail and clear in reliefs approximately 3 .5 "by 1 3/4"x1.1/4" JASPERWARE Jasper, the most famous of Josiah's inventions, first appeared in 1774 after thousands of experiments. An unglazed vitreous fine stoneware, it was made in blue, green, lilac, yellow, black or white; sometimes one piece combined three or more of these colors. Upon these delicately colored grounds would be applied the classical and contemporary reliefs , This lighter variety of green color , sage, that attracted the most attention is the most common among green jasperware. it only produced during a short window of time for this color..
