Vintage late 60s early 70s Faux Fur Coat
Show off your Doris Day or Mary Tyler Moore by supporting one of the first faux fur companies of the late 1960s. This is a Swahili faux leopard print coat by E.F. Timme. This was a company that was sued for creating “Timmetation” by real Fur companies because they created anti-animal cruelty adds led by big name celebrities at the time (one of these advertisements is included in my photos) and those real fur companies took offense and took them to court. This item has been dry cleaned and is an excellent vintage condition with normal signs of wear. No tears or stains. The only flaw is that there is a small hole in the inner- lining where the lining needs to be reinforced (see photos), I hope I look this good when I'm 64.
I purchased this at an estate auction of a friend's in New York City. From my personal vintage collection. PTP measures 17", best fit for a small.
