A very vintage Satin or Rayon robe, likely originally a men's bathrobe or house coat, but would make a good summer dress too (like a shorter house dress or house coat) with some small adjustments. With a fairly simple printed repeating blue square on red pattern, It has a shawl collar, long sleeves with turned cuffs and large, fully functional pockets and a smaller chest pocket. The robe is not lined. There is some interfacing of sorts going on to the front panels and there is an extra interfacing layer of fabric to the neck. No size or maker noted, although the piece looks well-constructed. Estimated date ca 1930-1940s.
Condition: The belt loops are there, loose and currently not fictional, and the original belt is lost (the one pictured is my own and not included in the sale - sorry!). The loops would be easily removed, or re-attached if wished. There is a hole on the left hand sleeve (pictured), a partially loose seam (lower back armhole on the left hand side) and fraying to the hanging loop in the neck - otherwise no damages were noted. I am a terrible presser of fabrics and there will the wrinkles that require ironing out.
