With the dial on the left you get to choose Manual; Aperture Priority; Point and shoot mode. In manual mode the camera will inform you, via the viewfinder, of the recommended shutter speed for the given aperture that you may have chosen. The shutter speed then has to be manually selected on the shutter speed dial located around the lens mount. In Aperture Priority mode you choose the aperture and the camera will oblige by selecting the correct shutter speed. In Program mode all you have to do is focus and press the shutter button. On the top right of the camera is the film speed selector which has a manually selectable range from 25-3200 and DX. This is a great feature for those of us who like to ‘push’ or ‘pull’ their films.
