...collectible throw blanket, lapghan home decor
A vintage solid deep purple coloured pure virgin wool blanket by Pendleton, the centre of the piece inset with the logo for the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The Pendleton logo tab dates the blanket to between ca 1970-1994. The embroidered-on patch is matching in colour and material to the blanket, with the logo applied in white - a well-considered and planned application, not an amateur addition to an existing Pendleton piece. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is an American fraternal order founded in 1868, originally as a social club in New York City.
This would make a great addition to a Big City apartment as a sofa, or as a cozy fire side blanket at the log cabin alike! It would be great for a college dorm or guest bed, or have it as a rich toned home accent piece
Condition: The blanket still quite fluffy and the wool surface is not too worn. The weight is a light / medium weight. It does have a few (moth) holes, one underneath the logo patch and at least 3 others. There is some pilling to the wool surface and a fair amount of staining to the underside (the not-logo side). The tassels to both ends look clean and intact. The white logo is peeling and flaking, with slight pink/purple discoloration.
Size: ca 45 inches wide x 64 inches long (without the tassels) *** 115 x 163 cm
