Vintage sterling and obsidian compartment ring made in Mexico

Neat vintage ring that once opened to hold medicine or fragrance. Some call them poison rings but I prefer compartment ring. The hinge broke and the band also broke from wear. It still can be worn just not very securely or maybe comfortably. Im selling it as is and for repair or repurpose/reimagine. The white stripes are from overhead light. Some surface marks as well.
