Vintage wood sewing drawer

This is a vintage drawer from a sewing machine that has been roughly painted baby blue. It measures 16" x 5" x4" The front of the drawer has broken details and has marker on it. It has a curve in the middle of the drawer. There are scratches on one side of the wood as pictured. I am not aware what type of wood it is.
