Beautiful & Unique Vintage 1970s era Stunning Traditional Salwar Kameez with Matching Dupatta (scarf/shawl/draping viel) region: indian/Afghanistan/Pakistan era: 1970s -the dress has a rounded neckline & 3/4 sleeves-stunning details! embroidery & flower applique Embellishments thru out the dress & dupatta! dress is made from black tulle embellished with tan& cream coloured flower appliques & diamond shaped appliques -Over a black (stretchy soft cotton blend) under dress//the sleeves & front hem of the dress, as well as the ends of the dupatta feature the Flower applique detailing. appliques are interestingly backed in newsprint written in Urdu which is a protected language in India&is used in regions of Pakistan& Afghanistan as well&spoken mostly by Muslims in these regions.urdu is linked to sanskrit / hindi languages& to Aramaic & Arabic 🖤it is a truly unique & beautiful old language. the newsprint in urdu on the backs of the flower appliques mention dates from 1970-1973 this lovely curated vintage set is in amazing condition for it's age, very wearable. ready to wear to an indian /Afghani/Pakistani wedding or other event that requires you to look lovely & Traditional & unique no size- no brand - most likely hand made&well made at that. would fit modern sizes small to medium. approximate US/Canadian dress sizes 2 thru 6 fabric has a bit of stretch for reference I'm 5'4 & 120 pounds , chest size 36 & it fits me well, dupatta is Over 6 ft long,3ft wide.
