Vintage Dries Van Noten Blazer

Dries Van Noten is a renown luxury Belgian designer and is part of the notorious 'Antwerp Six' - an avant-garde collective credited for putting Belgian designers on the map in the '80s. He has earned a reputation as a master colorist and later received the CFDA's International Designer of the Year award. With vibrant palettes, unconventional prints and intricate embroidery, his collections are loved by everyone from Beyoncé to Leandra Cohen. Van Noten’s work is said to be characterized by use of prints, colors, original fabrics and layering - and this beautiful, unique piece is no exception. Masterfully constructed, this blazer has a pure wool exterior, satin sleeve lining and linen interior lining. It is estimated that this piece was inspired by his Fall 2002 Ready to Wear Line. Pictured is a long jacket with identical print and fabric from the Fall 2002 fashion show. This piece is in excellent condition - no visual wear signs, pulls or stains. It was rarely worn and meticulously cared for by its previous owner. Tag says Size 40 in European sizes. This is equivalent to a 7-8 or medium in North American sizes. This is a must have for any vintage high end designer collector. I mean who doesn’t want to be like Beyoncé!?
