Vintage Linen Midi Dress

Heavy weight white linen with cotton floral embroidered striping. The skirt is lined with organdy, an absolute dream textile. I am guessing circa 1960 ish. You will notice that the bodice is just slightly above the waist & of course the original zipper was metal. A vintage dress that has been a part of our family for a number of years. My eldest grew out of it in her early 20's. After she moved out, I surprised her one day with a complete remake. It needed to be a bit bigger, so I added a 1" panel of cotton silk voile to each side panel. Lined the bodice & trimmed out the neckline in a custom piping in the same textile. New zip. The cotton lace at the waist is new old stock vintage. Finishing it off with a little enamel vintage brooch at center front waist. Bust 35" Waist 28" Hip full Skirt length 36" Freshly washed hung & pressed. No flaws.
