Vtg 9ct Gold Hematite “Alaska Black Diamond” Earrings 1950’s

A fantastic pair of Hematite aka Alaska Black Diamond earrings, set into gold with hallmarked 9ct yellow gold screwback fasteners. I decided to leave them on the screwbacks since they are original to this type of earring most commonly for the era. Super easy to switch them out to wires or levers though with nothing more than pliers. Hematite is a stone: you can see the natural striations of stone on the open backs. These are cute: cut into hearts and have a high polish so they are very reflective and beautiful black. 3/4” full dangle length The heart drops are 1/2” by 3/8”. They are in excellent vintage condition. Screwback fasteners can be worn by anyone! Even if you do have pierced ears. 😌
