Vtg. BEADED EVENING BAG Gold & White Beads, Beaded Handle, Satin Lining HANDMADE

Gorgeous evening bag with hand-worked white seed beads and elongated gold bugle beads. The interior is pale gold satin and contains one side slip pocket. The label has been cut from where it had been sewn into the inside pocket, so the make and age of this evening bag are unknown, but the beaded handle is attached to the frame with an unusual tab extension that is rarely found on bags made after the 1930’s. (Almost all bags since then use a simple ring fixed to the frame for attaching the handle). The hinged gold tone metal frame is decorated with a raised flower pattern and closes with a kiss clasp. The beaded outside of the bag does not show any signs of wear – there are no loose or missing beads, no stains, or blemishes. The satin lining is clean and in very good condition – there are no tears, stains, or odors, only minor scuffs to the sheen of some of the satin.
