Vintage Hand Carved Wood Bookends | Alpine Black Forest Style Library Decor | Chalet Design Visually appealing carved and painted wood book ends in a Black Forest Style reminiscent of German and Swiss Alps scene. 3D effects of a chalet, spruce tree, water wheel and landscape carved into a medium toned wood. Shades of brown, honey, orange, white and a touch of light blue used in the hand painted details. Bookends approximately 7 3/4 inches wide and 7 inches tall. Carvings approximately 6 inches wide and 4 3/4 inches tall. Each weigh approximately 1 lbs 3 oz. Condition: Good vintage condition. Some peeling brown paint on the medium toned wood (mostly on back). Minimal nicks. The foam on the bottom of the bookends is disintegrating but I will leave the decision to remove it up to the buyer.
