Vtg Ice Cream Scoop w/ Metal Trigger Release Plastic Ribbed Handle Made in Japan

Vintage ice cream scoop has a metal trigger release. Handle is made from white plastic with a ribbed texture. Scoop size is 2 1/4", total length including handle is 7 1/2". Pre-owned condition, has some rust to the gear mechanism (see close-up photos). "Japan" is embossed on the back of the trigger.
