Vintage Karen Bulow handwoven 100 % pure virgin wool tie with colored stripes in shades of red, orange and blue. Very tightly woven and unhemmed at the pointed ends for texture. The classic style and warm colors, as well as the history of the maker make this a keeper.

** Karen Bulow was a Canadian Textile Artist that started Canada’s first professional weaving studio in the 1930’s to 40’s. Her ties were carried in high end shops in the US, as well as upscale Canadian stores, Eaton’s and Simpson’s. Karen Bulow was commissioned to make products for Trans - Canada Airlines, Canadian National Railway and was a female pioneer in mid century textiles.
