Straight from 1959 and still galloping, this vintage Little Golden Book adaptation of Walt Disney’s Tonka brings the wild west vibes and a glossy horse-human friendship arc that Disney marketed hard in the pre-action-figure era. Based on the film and adapted by Elizabeth Beecher, this one features full-colour Kodachrome photos instead of illustrations—so it's less storybook, more mid-century movie merch disguised as a children’s book. Some wear on the spine (see pics), but the cover still pops and all pages are clean and intact.
