Webster dictionary from 1940 with book clippings

A neat piece that I kept after giving up most of my old book collection during a move. this is a pocket size dictionary from the 1940s. what fascinated me was that there was a name inside, along with some book clippings on how to pronounce Ethiopian words, along with current politicians. must have been a traveller's! book is in fair condition, there is a yellow smudge on the front of the book that probably could be removed by someone who knows how to work with (leather?). book pages are yellowed, and the spine is cracked in the middle.
