Wedgwood Peter Rabbit 100th Anniversary 1893-1993 teacup and saucer England

Wonderful Wedgwood Peter Rabbit teacup and saucer, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the beloved character of Peter Rabbit, who first appeared in a letter to the 5 year old son of Beatrix Potter's former governess. It features illustrations and words from Beatrix Potter's beloved Tale of Peter Rabbit book. The saucer contains the words "Peter, who was very naughty, ran straight away to Mr. McGregor's garden, and squeezed under the gate" and the teacup and the teacup depicts Peter wriggling under the fence to Mr. McGregor's garden, with the words "Now my dears, you may go into the fields or down the lane." In excellent condition with no cracks or chips. Saucer measures 5.75 inches across and the teacup measures 2.5 inches high. ' Wonderful for the Peter Rabbit fan!
