fashionchicaz Oh I miss the Hamptons. Spent every summer growing up there in my great grandmothers house. My family sold it about 18yrs ago and the memories are still vivid and fresh. Went for years after but rented, not the same! Lol. We, the twenty something's tried to buy it collectively but a developer offer so very much that we couldn't compete lol. Love the closet!

rmccouture No problem! I love sharing your closet! I'm envious that you are a "team". It's much nicer and easier to work as a team. I'm totally Han Solo over here! Lol. My parents used to have a house in East Hampton. I loved going out there in the fall, winter and spring (although I detested being out there in the summer. Too much traffic and hullabaloo!)

rmccouture I used to frequent the Ladies' Village Improvement Society thrift shop, as well as the multiple ARF thrift shops (there used to be 3 in the area). Loved the finds out there! I haven't been able to get out east at all for a few years because of a light sensory issue I have due to a car accident I was in in 2014. So, I stay at home mostly, making videos of myself, which I then take screen shots of and turn into listings on Posh.

memsies I noticed you've been on here for quite some time and I am in need a bit of advice, please! I am on vacation and it is just killing me that I'm not selling.☹️ I've got an average of shipping the same day that I didn't want to mess up, so I put my closet on vacation mode. Should I really be worried about maintaining that average? Do I just have a horrible addiction to Poshmark?? We will be back one week from today. A short answer is fine and would be so appreciated. designhamptons @memsies :-) Yes PM can get addicting! I've been on here a couple of years and have gone through phases of sharing/selling/hosting /etc and then burnout. The vacation feature is new - and really great! I would keep things in vacation mode and then maybe a day or two before you come back, then reactivate and start sharing.

designhamptons @memsies It really is important to ship ASAP. The ship time has become more important since they started the public metric system. So, enjoy your vacation! There are some great groups on FB for encouragement, mentoring and venting with lots of amazing women. Maybe that will help you get your PM fix ;-) Ask questions anytime. I'm recovering from a shattered wrist so my PM habits have been irregular. But I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things.

memsies Hello there! I have another question if you don't mind and only if you have time. I looked at Support and they weren't really helpful about this. Do we pay taxes for this income? And if so, what would we turn in to our accountant to document sales? I hope you're having a lovely weekend and that your wrist is much better 💕

designhamptons @memsies PM doesn't provide tax forms so it's up to each closet to report taxes and keep records. If you create a business it's a different ball game for taxes. Otherwise you can report as an individual sole proprietorship. I would consult with your accountant but definitely keep track of your sales, and business expenses like postage, supplies, if you buy things to sell, etc.

parisianlights Hi. Looking for advice. I am getting the sales but do not have many followers. How long does it take to get get to 100k+? I have over 400 items and great pieces and I am at most Posh Parties. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

designhamptons @kimberlyfemenia It can take a while to grow followers. My closet has been a suggested user for a couple of years and I've hosted three parties. So that has helped! Followers don't equal sales though! You have to be actively sharing your closet daily and adding new items. You have a lot in your closet which is great! Just share share share! There are share groups where you share 10-15 of other people's items and they share yours. Those can be very helpful with exposure as well.

nuccia13 Hi I’m nina and I’m a summer resident of QUOGUE we are almost neighbors. I wanted to make a suggestion about the camel Chanel shopping tote u have listed. Order Cadillac Leather Cleaner & Boot & Shoe Care Leather Lotion. Finish of w/FRYE Leather Conditioning Cream, in Neutral buff w/ a dust free cloth. This should remove the color transfer to the bag & make it look great. My shoe repair guy in the city uses these. This work will ensure you get at least close to your asking.
