I got the red wig, looked into the mirror, and realized that I was supposed to be a redhead. As soon as I had my daughter, I went red and never went back! @novasma Love that name! My daughter will be 10 in June. Her name is Gaia. I have her at least 80% of the time. It takes a village to raise a child. Doing it alone is impossible. Too many women are isolated parenting alone. There should be more access to groups of single moms who help each other...

@novasma My stepmother helps out a bit, but my dad is ill, so she has to take care of him too. I'm grateful that he has her, and that I have her... Sometimes I think it would be easier to have 2; being an only child is hard, and I find that I become the playmate a lot. If Gaia had a sibling, she would kick his/her butt instead of mine! Lol!

Sorry to hear about your dad! Yea I'm an only child and I always wished I had a sibling! Nova always asks for a little brother or sister! My boyfriend has baby fever bad but I'm afraid because I had a real bad pregnancy and I know how hard it is to be a parent! We will see though!!

My daughter went to her prom last Friday.... She was chosen Prom Princess👏🏽❤️😃 I purchased a dress from one of our fellow Poshers and guess what.....She ended up wearing a dress from MY CLOSET🙀 After all my hard searching😩 her look was very unconventional as far as prom goes but very beautiful.....and I do consider myself a trendsetter.....everyone loved it.... I started my journey into vintage before then... my dad ran a booth at Roosevelt Field Flea Market (you may be too young to know what I'm talking about! Lol!)

For a laugh let me tell you since I work all day ( I own my own boutique) I get home drained but determined to share my closet and pay shares back. I fall asleep sometimes and wake up to find anther color got into another section. Yikes! 😬😬

@sonpaises Poshmark is still very young, and there are things that I am certain will be upgraded, such as the means by which we currently have to organize our closets backwards, can only use the app to do it, and have no way of undoing a share. One of the reasons why I have so many shares is from mistakes I make daily while attempting to organize my closet!

I am an actress, well, I acted on stage for many years, directed school plays for 15 years, was a part of community theater, etc. I was in a car accident in 2014, and suffered a head trauma that affects my ability to be in the light, or take in loud or high sounds. I get migraine headaches from them, and they make me really, really sick...

I didn't realize that Andrea wanted us to have our vintage items on top, because last Friday when Tina ran a similar share, she said we didn't have to have them on top, and Andrea referred to last week, so I just thought it was the same thing. I had an appointment at 7:30, so up until about 7:15 I was still poshing; lowering prices on things. After 7:15, I wasn't back online until around 9:15, when I received a message from Andrea about my set up...

@wayofthegoddess PM has stated that it does not "condone" share groups, which is why we've been inconsistent in our nightly rules. This was recently told to us (re not condoning share groups) so the VSL (note, no longer the VSG) is tweaking itself to be compliant, retaining its ability to share vintage items, while respecting PM's statement regarding share groups.

@wayofthegoddess It changed because PM sent out an email to one of our members (I don't recall who it was) regarding "share groups" and stated that the "do not condone share groups". Their reasoning was that they could not control who was allowed to be in and who wasn't. In theory, a share group being run by members of the posh community, as opposed to PM itself, could leave out others due to personality conflicts or other negative interactions...

Hi, I noticed that you are a lover of rare vintage items as myself. I'm trying to locating someone who specializes in valuing vintage clothing and handbags. I own a vintage Tucker Grossman dress that have the original tags still attached. (silk dupioni) I also own a vintage Gucci handbag with the original box, dust bag and receipt that reflects the serial number. The date stamped inside of the box is 1975. i'm a digger also. My Christmas present last year was a metal detector. I was an advertising manager for 20 something years. My manager used to ask me what I aspired to be. My answer was always A treasure hunter or an archaeologist. Number one on my bucket list. we don't find things like this in my small Georgia area. I bought an authentic Chanel bag at a backwoods, side of the road tag sale in upstate NY once. I couldn't believe it. I spent $1, Had the authenticity card in it and everything... But I'm not into brand names. My favorite finds are vintage and antique, and those are best found in areas less traveled...

She is a sad person who has a lot of anger inside of her. I pray that she finds peace so that she can be more useful to those she loves❤️

I pray for a lot of people also. I especially pray for the homeless, the abused people and abused animals are tragic to me. I can't watch The commercials on TV. Normally Tina is the one who gives out the codes, but we've gotten really big, and it's a lot for one person, so the hosts who share from their closets (every night it's someone else) have started to give out codes to closets the follow Posh rules. When does it Start? I haven't done my homework yet. I am a single mom with two boys running around fighting bedtime. There are other sites that do not have the social support that poshmark provides, and the communal spirit needed in order to really flourish. Then again, I have difficulty finding balance with most things, so perhaps I'm not the right one to give advice! If you're ever looking for a longer, more difficult and challenging way to do something easy; I'm your girl!

@soulwoman3 I am unable to multitask, so all I can manage at this time is to posh as much as I can, which is not nearly as much as I wish I could during the holiday season, and pack, which is also very challenging for me because I am lacking the ability to process where things need to be placed, forgetting where I put things, and really wasting a great deal of energy trying to accomplish goals that were not even issues for me prior to the accident.

I take all of my own photos, including the ones that look like someone else took them! I got a tripod for my phone, and make videos posing the items. After I'm done, I watch the videos, pause them and take screen shots. I then edit the screen shots into what you see posted here....

I packed what I didn't sell,took w/me, marked closet"not for sale" No starting over. If U have down time, share UR "I'm moving post" & follow ppl It never hurts &Ppl will follow back. We took our time driving.I would buy in antique & consignment shops, post them, "not for sale" When I re-opened,had 10 sales, &kept in touch w/my PFF's posting pix along the way. Felt like traveling show "American Pickers" had fun. I'll be watching, just incase you decide to share UR adventure.

If I put half of the effort into my real life closet as I do on my virtual one, my life would be a lot more manageable (in theory!) @healchno Thank you for asking Heather. That's so thoughtful of you. Unfortunately, because of the nature of his illness, he is not doing well. We're trying to make arrangements so that he can return home, and have care there because he does better when he's not institutionalized like he is right now. We're going to have to find him a new home, because the one he lives in now has stairs, and it's just too dangerous for him.

I captured that pretty face tonight in a listing of one of those beautiful black belts I got from you. Getting my items listed is going fairly slow because I am having to do them all on my cell phone. Posh didn't mention up front that I had to have a tablet. I actually have bought a beautiful beautiful mannequin and have named her Gisele. I also have a very pretty friend who is going to model all the clothes that I do not have photos of and the jewelry shoes etc.I am so far behind I really am blessed to have the photography and descriptions from two or three wonderful women on posh who helped me so much. My dad actually has Parkinsons disease also, so technically, it's Parkinson's Dementia, but at this stage, it could probably be called Alzheimers. @leoswife His solution to the disease was swimming. He swam every day, and it really, really helped him. The worst thing for Parkinson's patients is inertia, so you keep that Leo moving,and he will be able to slow down the process. God bless you guys. I hope that you are able to enjoy the jacket. I would reply to the original message you received from them, as well as create a new message, just in case. Another thing you can do if you have ever corresponded with PM Support before is reply to an old message from them, having nothing to do with your check (buyer/seller dispute, etc.) (cont)

@dehavenarts There was a glitch it the direct deposit system last spring that REALLY messed me up. I had assumed the money was going into my account like it always did, and then started to get notices of bounced checks for bills. It was really, really bad. I depend on my income from PM because I'm disabled (I have a traumatic brain injury from a head-on collision in 2014 that really messed me up). (cont)

@dehavenarts I was in the process of applying for disability, but I had a hard time comprehending the paperwork (and I'm an English teacher! (obviously, I'm not currently teaching)). It was so tight in my house that there were days I literally didn't eat. My daughter ate, and my cats, but there wasn't enough for all of us, so I went without. Those were hard times, but I'm not in such a bad financial place right now. (cont)

@dehavenarts My point is that I fully understand how stressful it can be to not receive money, especially if you depend on it for your daily life. They will send you the check. Poshmark is a good company and they don't cheat their sellers. It just might take a few more days. I'd write them and ask, like I said before, when you will hear from someone. Did you post it on their page, write a private message, or do both?

I'd like to go this year, but it seems too extravagant a cost for me. I'm going to be moving AGAIN in December (the place i moved into last year is beyond subpar), and I need to be careful not to overspend. Are you going to go this year? @africansisters The worst part was going through new closets and making sure that the closets were compliant. It took hours. My first suggestion would be create a listing specifically for those people looking for HPs. Tell them to make a listing for their closets stating that they are compliant. Of course, people will lie, and some won't read the directions, but if they really want a hp, they should read about how to get one! (cont)

@africansisters The second suggestion I would make is to open a Pinterest account, and create a "secret page" to pin potential HPs to. That way you don't have to let on that you're considering something, and then have someone be let down. Also, if you know who your other cohosts are, you can add them to the secret page, so you don't pick the same HPs, and have a place to share with each other easily that is private.

Everything you share during the party is an auto-HP, and since you're doing service for others, giving yourself a whole slew of HPs is kind-of contrary to the point of having the gift of giving, if you know what I mean. It's been really emotionally devastating for me (hence the reason I'm chronically awake after 4am in NY). @dezchic Thanks for asking Denise. I'm not doing too well. My father was placed in a nursing home for his dementia, and it's ripping me apart to watch his mind disappear. He doesn't know I'm there most of the time, can't feed himself, speaks in languages I can't understand to people who aren't there.... I feel like I'm going to have a breakdown. I can't keep up with posh; and I have to because it's my only source of income... life is just hard sometimes (cont)

Hi Amanda... I'm in need of advice ... I have been scammed out of $130 not from a trade but a con job. I had a product called Instantly Ageless that I was selling in my closet but later had to remove Posh decided non compliant. I did. In the meantime met a Posher whom I thought was a friend. She took me her situation about her life and need help.

I went outside of Posh because we had become what I thought were friends and I could trust her otherwise I would never have done it. Plus the fact I had to remove it from my closet even though it's still sold on Posh and even in the search engine. $130!!! Very upsetting. And yes I have proof she scanned me with text messages I've kept and receipt from PO.

@designerbeb Hi Barbara. I'm so sorry to hear about this happening to you. My rule of thumb is to never loan something that I need or expect back. If I give something away, I do it because I can and want to; I never expect to receive anything in return. It makes things easier that way. If I were in your shoes, I would be more hurt by the betrayal than by the money; when we consider people friends and they turn out to be using us, it hurts very deeply (cont)

@designerbeb (Sorry, my daughter got home from school in the middle of my response) What I would be curious to know is whether or not this person is a seller, and whether or not she is a suggested user. My reasoning for asking is that if she is, her manipulative ways would affect a lot more poshers. If she is just someone you befriended, who does not sell and is not someone who has great influence on PM, than she is not really a threat to others. (cont)

@designerbeb Most people will try to help other people out when they're in trouble, but most people would not be as generous as you were, nor would they be in the position where they had inventory that was not "poshable" (just because other people are selling it doesn't mean PM permits it, and my feelings are that being compliant with PM rules is the only way to go, so you did the right thing by removing the listings. @designerbeb If she is not really a threat to anyone else, and has hurt you, shame on her. She will get back what she gives. We all do. Karma is real. If you were to post a listing in your closet that said "Beware of so and so," it would reflect poorly on you. It's too dramatic, you know what I mean? If she's a big-time posher, it might be a different story, and other repercussions could be considered.
