pkjorn If you follow these several resources & their offshoots you’ll get there. Meetup NY and Time out : both apps that are free. Meetup is a broad sweeping social, business, network & didactic - they take people to the shows as event several times a year. Time out is a weekly publication that covers all - ALL events in the city. There’s a site called Chicmi.com.

pkjorn Chicmi gives the feed on fashion ; shows, sales, samples, trade & individuals. This opens you to lots & lots of ideas ; buyers, fashion week, trim /fabric etc resources. Somewhere here is a soup. Not sure how you mix it but do know resale : high end resale is in high demand. RealReal.com just opened a huge storefront in Soho & their presence on net huge. But I’d think you’d want to buy & sell when you got here. There’s no end to estates & people who disregard $ & options.

I think I'm going to posh less as really want to sew and in middle of other stuff. But sales will probably stop as unless I have regular customers, if I don't work posh 24/6, sales cease. magiedcat @leviya I am getting better. I like to say I am also a collector of random, unusual illnesses lol. Story of my life 😂. I can use my hands today, for the most part, so I am happy. Yes- I think if I didn’t “work” Posh every day I probably wouldn’t have nearly as many sales as I do. We home school and officially kick off at end of month, so my time will be drastically cut from Posh. I will do what I can, when I can, and that will be alright.

Will hope to and not clothes but I used to sew clothes from pattern. Pillow at this point. I definitely will be revamping my time spent on this site. It's great fun meeting people, developing relationships, and finding homes for my wares but time spent is a ridiculous amount, for me any way.

vintage2classic @virginiajensen So I think spending time on the platform is important. There is the 30MM (30 minute method ) - Facebook Poshmark sandbox explains this. Listing new items every day, following your followers, sharing and liking your own listings besides others, good photos & descriptions, having quality merchandise, disclosing any flaws, packing item neatly and securely.

vintage2classic @virginiajensen As far as success, that is relative. I feel success when a customer is happy with their new item and my customer service. Finding vintage clothing is crazy fun and I've been developing this skill for decades, but finding a new owner is not as easy. Each closet has its own personality, and it is interesting to see your own evolve. Have fun interacting, ask questions and continue to do what you are doing.

vintage2classic @virginiajensen So far, the amount of time I spend on PM correlates to the amount of money I make. Thanks for asking. Oh, failure : don't go on vacation mode if you can avoid it. Rather, let customers know shipping may be delayed, or if they are planning to buy, ask them to hold off for a short time and you will reserve it for them. irish_tink Dear trusted Posh mentor, I need you advice. I sold a bundle that is approx 5.5 lbs. I can upgrade to 6lb thru PM for $3.99 but is there a more economical way, i.e. additional postage at USPS? I undersold this bundle to begin with and don’t want to lose more profit than I need to. It's been fun to connect with some people, especially those who are openly friendly as if you know them for ever. Sold quite some inventory, but I'm far from professional, it would be too stressful for me. Have not figured out exactly what really is the secret to success here... Maybe best just to enjoy it.

warnocks AND to top it off! You have a Karen Alexander dress! Unless you’ve seen one in person you can’t appreciate the tailoring that goes into her clothes. I have one left from the many I had in the 80’s. Please look at mine in my closet because you’ll appreciate it! I worked in her showroom in the 80’s at The Dallas Apparel Mart.
