White and Clear Glass Light Cover, Round Wall Sconce Lamp Shade, Art Deco Globe

From the 40s or 50s, this is a lovely Art Deco style round glass lamp shade in beautiful condition. It is for wall mounted lights or sconces. It has been painted white on the inside of the top and sides with clear glass ridges facing downward. This style often used in bathrooms above or beside the vanity, but would also would look perfect in a hall, on either side of a headboard in a master bedroom, or as porch lighting for a period home. Its clean lines would also suit a modern home. Personally, I think it looks rather like C3P0's head. Give it a new story to tell. Positioned as in the first photo, it is approximately 6 inches (15 cm) tall and 5 inches (12.7 cm) across and 4 inches (10 cm) deep. The inside measurement of the fixture opening is just under 2 3/4 inches and the outside measurement of the fixture opening rim is just under 3 1/4 inches across. As this is a vintage shade there may be small scratches marks, or imperfections in the painted surface. There is a couple of very small chips on the rim that will be hidden by the light fixture. Please look at the photos carefully before buying.
