worldthriftshop @drjeannie0208 @drjeannie0208 hello! the wholesale market is an option that poshmark offers to sellers after they make a certain number of sales (im guessing its 10). you yourself can purchase wholesale and sell it as boutique items if you are interested in expanding your closet. that option isn't for everyone including myself. i don't sell wholesale. so don't think of yourself as competing with the boutique closets...

worldthriftshop @drjeannie0208 Where as they need to profit from their wholesale inventory, non boutique/resell closets often sell just as beautiful items for lower prices. when buyers search for items such as "lace dress" they have the option to only search personal closets and it will filter out boutique items. every closet has a market its just about how much work you put in to reach your audience. dont be discouraged and you are doing a wonderful job!

worldthriftshop @drjeannie0208 With personal closets, we have to make sure our pictures and descriptions are top notch and thats alot of work. im sure boutique sellers work just as hard too BUT They can use the professional pictures with gorgeous models provided by the wholesaler they purchased their inventory from. my advice is to take full advantage of sunny days where as good lighting is a must when taking pictures as well as the quality of the camera.

drjeannie0208 Okay thx. But when I first started, no sales I had more likes. Then after 10 they said you can look at wholesale, and there I was, part of it. I am not a professional and will be happy with what I can do! I really cannot compete with Miss North Carolina. That was great when she shared and then in her closet she models for a company.

But I have three very successful adult children , all married, careers, and six little ones. Plus I had two successful careers as a teacher and LMFT. I still need to learn how to bundle for a buyer.

worldthriftshop @drjeannie0208 lol so we are all apart of the same market as far as what buyers can see from the 1st day you started selling. because you sold 10 items you are now allowed to purchase from the wholesale market. not everyone can see and purchase from them. only active sellers that have sold 10 or more items. we all hit dry spells trust me, but thats just more motivation to improve. take time to make changes to your closet and list more items, and the buyers will come 🤩💕🤗

worldthriftshop @drjeannie0208 awww thank youal! and yes God is good. my mom always told me that we are never too old too learn. what subject/grade did you teach? and bundling is more so done by the buyer. with bundles sellers will often discount the total. if i was selling an two different items for $8(earnings of $5) and a buyer bundles them i will offer it to them for $13, i still get the $10 i would have gotten if they sold individually and the buyer gets a discount 😁

I started teaching French in HS, then when we left NY to Florida I taught K-5, but also specialized in ESOL, gifted, autistic and often kept same class for two years , like 3-4, or 4-5, bc then first day of school everyone knows each other and the levels. I had twins who were selective muted, well after two years I loved the sound of them talking! Licensed therapist I worked inner city tough cases.
