A traditional Japanese Nanbu Tekki (Nambu cast iron) wind chime from the renowned maker Oigen Seieido (及源鋳造 盛栄堂), a long-established foundry in Iwate, Japan, specializing in high-quality southern ironware.
• Design: intricate openwork ring with a detailed tropical fish at the top, and a cast iron fish shaped bell below. Dark green/bronze patina with a rustic, antique feel.
• Sound: Nanbu iron wind chimes are famous for their clear, resonant, long-lasting tone (a high, lingering “ring” selected as one of Japan’s “100 Soundscapes to Preserve”), unlike the shorter chime of glass “furin” chime.
Brand: Oigen Seieido (established in 1852; known for traditional Nanbu cast iron craftsmanship)
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, never used
⚠️HOW TO:⚠️
The rectangular paper strip plays an important role in catching the wind and creating sound. Before use, please straighten the folded paper and tie the string through the hole.
Perfect for Japanese decor, porch or garden. Soothing sound brings a sense of coolness and tranquility.
