Winnipeg Victorias Hockey Jersey - VINTAGE LIMITED EDITION - ULTRA RARE - READ!

This is a very rare, limited edition vintage Winnipeg Victorias Hockey Jersey / Sweater, sized Large. Please read! This shirt is a reproduction of the now non-existent Winnipeg Victorias NHL hockey team. They were in existence between 1889 and 1903 as a professional team, (before the Jets!). The Winnipeg Victorias won the Stanley Cup in 1896, 1901 and 1902, before becoming an amateur team up to approx 1912. This jersey was a one-off reproduction of the original, and it was made to celebrate the CBC / Radio Canada television series, 'Hockey - A Peoples History', which aired approx 20 years ago in Canada. This jersey was sold by the CBC for $100 at the time! It is a great example of the original old- style hockey jerseys (more woolen, before the nylon of modern kits). As this jersey is a woolen sweater of vintage age, there are some areas of wear including the usual 'pilling' effect of the fabric near the sleeves. Other than that, it's in great condition and is a very collectible piece of Canadian hockey memorabilia. It has the original Bison club logo on the chest, and is red with mustard collar and cuffs. Would make a treasured gift for any Winnipeg or Canadian hockey fan. As mentioned, this is VERY rare - I could not find any examples for sale online, + the only other example was on the 'Worthpoint' website - that Jersey sold on e b a y a long while ago. As such, the price reflects is rarity and importance as a piece of Canadian hockey history! Thanks for looking!
