TimeSplitters 2 is a classic first-person shooter where space marine Sergeant Cortez must race across time to save humanity from the TimeSplitters, a malevolent alien race actively changing the past to ensure mankind's defeat in 2401. After the aliens scatter powerful Time Crystals across history, Cortez pursues them, "Quantum Leaping" into the bodies of characters across 10 distinct, action-packed eras—including the Wild West, a 1920s Aztec temple, and a futuristic Neo-Tokyo—completing objective-based missions in each to retrieve the crystal and prevent catastrophic timeline changes, all while enjoying some of the most frantic and celebrated four-player split-screen multiplayer and chaotic arena combat of the console era.
