From around 1999-2001 vintage sugoi (Japanese design) cycling shorts for style or technical wear for cycling mountain biking and downhilling.
There is slight darkening , see photo, on the back side. Not noticeable when worn, looks like a shadow to me.
Velcro and snap sly. Mesh detailing.
