@mary447 Hi Mary... It's nice to meet you! First it took me about 9 months total. I had to completely change the way I eat and bought a treadmill. Had to cut out carbs almost completely. I had to make it a way of life... Not just a diet. I'm going through the change and have Fibromyalgia, arthritis and bursitis in most of my joints. Between going through menopause and the medication I'm on my metabolism basically stopped. I went to my gynecologist and he told me it was safe for "me" to use Hydroxycut for women for the first couple weeks to kick start my matabolism.

@lynste70 This is too amazing! I too have had fibro since 1985, have arthritis and in August I had a complete shoulder replacement. On July 2nd I started Nutrasystem and continued til Dec 18 when I had bread pudding at Nordstroms. That was the beginning if the end ! I had lost 30lbs and now I have gained 10 back. Soi have to get back on the wagon. You are right you have to absolutely make a lifestyle change and I did that and now I hate myself. So I have clothes in every size!

@juliakfox1 I know how you feel... Just turned the big 50 and lost 50lbs... I use anything I think might slow down the wrinkles! Lol funny thing is my brain still thinks a lot younger.... Who says you should grow old gracefully... I intend on fighting it as long as I can! Hahaha

@japonica You are so sweet! Yes I am a proud momma! Weight loss was tough but keeping it off is work... I vow never to gain it back! Unfortunately right now I'm on my way to see my mom who broke her hip Thurs and is recovering from surgery... She was living on her own but sadly I think she will not be able to return home.

So nice to me you- handsome family!! Congrats in the weight loss- I've been there myself - it's challenging but boy does it make you feel accomplished!!! I'm very sorry to hear about your mother - I don't know abou her particular situation but rehab can do some amazing things, followed by home health after discharge. (That's what I do for a living). If I can answer any questions about the process I would be happy too!

@careygirl Thank you! So nice to meet you! Mom is 73 and has many problems. Breaking her hip was the first bone she ever broke. Working on getting her into a transitional situation.. More of a nursing/rehab placement. Unfortunately I'm not sure she will be going home but you never know... She lives alone but I do everything for her... Grocery shopping... Showers, meds and more. I will definitely tag you if I have any questions.

I gained the weight back after loosing it the first time and just updated my bio. I finally have lost the weight and hoping to keep it off! β€οΈ
