Yellow Embroided Coarse Cotton T-Shirt

Mexican blouse features a colorful embroidered motif, V neckline, embroidered scalloped details and side slits. Made of a lightweight white poly cotton blend fabric. Unbranded. Handmade (Not by me bought for a present but after pandemic lost contact) In Mesoamerican clothing, capes or tilmas, tied around the neck and hanging between the waist or ankles, symbolized power, being subject to rigid rules, both for their use and for their decoration. Also, there was the xicolli, a short sleeveless shirt widely used by the Teotihuacanos, although the Mayans preferred to use it as a warrior outfit. At the end of the day, Mesoamerican clothing and its accessories formed a point of identity that in turn reflected the rich worldview that enveloped these societies.
