weekend_beatnik @shellyssssss Hi, Shelly! Awesome!! It's so fun to meet ladies who have the same interests. 💕 I have not made Kombucha, but I'm a big fan! There is a local company that provides kegs(?) to my Whole Foods and I just get a growler filled every other week from the tap. I love it!! Do you make it?

shellyssssss @weekend_beatnik Yes I just started my 3rd batch. Its fun to make! Let me know if you would like the recipe! What grade do you teach? Im doing preschool now but was a teacher for awhile with the 18-22 yr. old community based program.

If it's easy, I'll totally take you up on that recipe. 😄 I taught high school science in public school and recently taught some lab courses to middle and high school homeschoolers. I'm considering homeschooling my daughter after that experience. I assisted a few preschool teachers and had so much fun. They are a great age to be around. 😊

shellyssssss @weekend_beatnik Kombucha Recipe 1. Boil 1 Gallon of bottled not tap Water add 10 tea bags. 2. Add 1 Cup Sugar 3.Cool to Room Temperature 4. Add Scoby (I can send you one! Or buy a bottle of Kombucha from the store and add 1/2 bottle to cooled mixture, or you can buy the starter from e bay) 5. Put in a 1-2 Gallon Jar. Take a thin cloth around the top tied with a rubber band so air can get in but other things cant get in. Wait 7 days. Drink if you dont want carbonated. If you want carbonated: 6. Put in mason jars with lids. Put 1 diced strawberry and or Apple,in each jar. Close lid tightly. The fruit makes it carbonate over the next few days. Check to see when lid of mason jar pops up a little, usually 4 or 5 days. If you want it more carbonated wait longer. Its very delicious and beneficial for your health. If you see strings of brown or a whitish clump form thatcis the new scoby and you repeat the process again with this. Make sure to add the new scoby to your cooled mixure and a cup of the previous brew.

shellyssssss @weekend_beatnik I know lol! Thats the hard part finding the time! The first batch takes a little while but after that it gets faster! Just got this collar called " No Crow Collar" for my chicken who is not a girl after all. Have to put it on today. It soesnt hurt him but makes the crow alot quieter. Hes been starting to crow at dawn.
