Vintage Zolo Higashi Glaser Wood Building Toy Sculpture. Original 54 piece, hand-carved, hand-painted wooden Zolo play sculpture set. This raw material set was introduced to the world by The Museum of Modern Art in 1986. Created by designers Byron Glaser and Sandra Higashi. Zoo's sensory-appealing shapes, organic construction method, open-ended play, and defiance of age and gender stereotypes soon carved a niche as diverse as the ZoLO pieces themselves--including adults and kids, people of challenged skill levels, individuals who connected with its inclusion of difference, and many who simply wanted a more creative form of play and self-expression.
