The material for this particular period's national team kit has a higher composition of cotton than what was traditionally used by Umbro. As worn by Les Rouges at the CONCACAF GOLD CUP in a special centenary game on 3 June 2012 against the USA, as Canada celebrated 100 years of the national team's existence.
