Québec was a hotbed of modernist enamel jewelry design in the 1970s. Self-taught artisans Micheline de Passillé and her partner Yves Sylvestre were innovators in copper, silver, and gold art enamelling. Their bold jewelry and decor items are highly collectible. This exquisite de Passillé-Sylvestre enamel kinetic pendant hangs from an unusual gold tone square snake chain. The large pendant is signed “de Passillé-Sylvestre” and "Fait au Québec, Made in Canada" on the reverse. Excellent vintage condition: gold plate and enamel work are bright and shiny.
