What is the width of the band, please? How does it compare to the size XL?

@poshipipi the bust is about 39" but it does have some stretch to it. as for the difference, as i dont have this exact style and pattern in a size xl i cant really speak to that but i can say that in general the xl is just a slightly larger size probably by at least an inch and a half. but again i cant really give you a definitive answer on that lol but its a pretty safe bet thats the only real difference :P

@poshipipi the material has a lot of stretch to it and as it is new with tags and never been worn the measurement of the band is that of laying flat without being stretched out so keep that in mind--its a pure elastic band (and i dont really want to stretch it out to see how large it can stretch to since i wont be able to measure that in the air lol)

@poshipipi you know what, im going to update the other listings as well with photos of the measurements laying flat just in case i can get more accurate info to you that way---since i know some of the pieces you really like and i of course dont want to mislead you by saying something stretches more than it might and all that :P

@poshipipi also for this piece, there is a ruffle detailing right above the elastic band part so keep that in mind when i get the photos up :P
