Just curious, how often does Posh grant returns (if you guys have experience with that)? I have seen some reasonable requests denied but then also pithy complaints accepted. Any patterns sighted?

dollface86 Hey Cai 😊 eeeh returns are kinda tricky. One time I had someone send me the wrong order & even though it was their fault I was given only 48 hours to take my pics of the order, email them posh, get a reply back for if I could return it or not & then ship it back. So it's possible if you have a good enough reason for the return like if you got an item that was totally different then what they said it would be. Otherwise I think it's kinda hard to get a return accepted. What do you think Jen? @jenniferrlee

jenniferrlee @dollface86 @jabberwocky Hi Cais, I've never had to return anything but I did have a buyer try to return an item she purchased from me. She tried claiming one of the items I sent was delivered to her damaged. I don't know what she submitte, if she sent anything to Posh but in the end they had denied her claim. I hear it is very difficult to return things on here, such as if you changed your mind but i hear is doable if it is truly for a valid reason. I'm sure people would be returning things all the time if it was a lot easier 😉 Just remember you have 3 days from the time it was delivered to submit a claim. Good luck! jabberwocky @dollface86 @jenniferrlee What you guys are saying seems to have also been my experience with returns--hard for Posh to grant. I've personally only ever asked for one return on an item (I ended up getting Posh credit for the amount of the item and not a return). I think Posh preferred settling things that way because it was a $10 item that they didn't want to spend extra return shipping charges on. From the point of view of the seller, I think the returns process is a bit opaque...there's no guarantee you'll find out the reason someone is asking for a return. Still, in my experience, the returns system has been fair, all in all :) Thanks for sating my curiosity!!

I can only get it to trigger when I keep reducing the price, but I've seen your notifications multiple times with the price remaining unchanged. Does that make sense?

lilysykora Oh yeah you have to just reduce the price 10% less each time and then just change it back to the price you would want to sell it at. So like I just set it at 55,45,35 ect and then change it back to 75 so they still get the shipping discount if they want it. Lol I'm desperate to sell those boots! They've been sitting in my closet forever ;) haha

I think @lguff123 has one in her closet for sale :) They're super hard to find--if you look in the above comments, 50% of them are people asking me where to find it, haha. A word of advice, they do run smaller--I am wearing a size 4 in the photo but I normally take 00 or 0 in other brands (Madewell or Kate Spade for example).

They constituted about half the show! Also, because you are my fellow scrubs fan... The other day I tried to assert to someone with MUCH more medical knowledge than I that people can turn orange from drinking tomato juice. When they inquired where I got this knowledge, I racked my brains and then sheepishly said ... "Scrubs". Any pretense I had of my argument being legitimate flew out the window when I said that, hahaha. Do you remember that episode? It was only a small gag, but for some reason I had catalogued it in my brain as veritable scientific fact. Hehehe. Hope you're doing well!

jabberwocky @cali_gal I think you've got a great handle of the listings as they stand! As for me, when I take my photos, I typically have very dim natural lighting in my room, so I rely heavily on editing apps, haha. If you're still looking around, a free one that I really like is Cymera :)

cubiclechic What do you think is your recipe for success on poshmark so far? What has really worked for you and any other tactics not so much? I'm going around looking for really well curated closets that seem to do well to find patterns.. I feel like I have been struggling a bit cuz I've hit some sort of bottle neck.. I was making multiple sales per day before and now it's been very sporadic.. Wondering what you maybe have to share on this topic??

Now it's maybe a couple a month 😪 I get more ridiculous lowball offers and non-serious buyers these days. It's like no one wants to spend more than $25 dollars, even for NWT designer items 😡

moonbunnytoo @jcc0211 not sure if either of you are in any of the Posh fb groups. I joined the Posh meet & greet group and I find it helpful to read some of the threads. I see people there are also experiencing the same thing, and several comments that the wholesale closets have been having more success. More than one user has commented that the key to getting more sales is engaging in the new users, by following / sharing their closets.

One person in the fb group who worked 20+ years in retail commented that this time of year is slow (think spring break, Easter etc) and most people are not shopping. hope some of this helps!

moonbunnytoo @jcc0211 I'm hoping for something along the lines of reduced commission! If posh is suggesting you list items, then it must be a seller incentive?? The reduced shipping is nice, but may not really entice a buyer who may be looking at items that are $50+. I don't think they announce PoshFest details until a bit later like summer time.

It was a great arrangement of the poem, but try as I might, I haven't been able to find the same arrangement again online. I love that your students then create their own! Over the years I've heard some funny parodies of the poems, most recently in my property law class.

hila808 Hi there @jabberwocky Where do you reside now? I live near the airport. I've been fortunate to have a job that as long as I have Internet access & a phone I can work away for a few months. Then when I'm at home I split my time babysitting my nieces & nephews, work at our family farm & help my uncle sell food at his food truck. I like the laid back, simple, non glamorous simple life in Hawaii. LA is a bit too fast pace for me but great to have the mountains & the ocean.

sanduper Hahahah!! That's insane! What a tiny world! If you're ever back on that street, I got the best haircuts of my life at Zalon.. I think it's a few doors down from the museum! It's run by this extremely meticulous hipster/artsy Chinese man who spends like 2 hours cutting each and every strand on your head. Not everything on that street is sketch central hahaha (but I totally know what you mean abt the massage parlor....)

moonbunnytoo I remember reaching 1K being thrilling and then reaching 10K was beyond exciting and then I was also excited for 20 K but after that it didn't feel any different either. I think I had more success as a seller at 20 K then I do now with over 100 K😝 The heat wave here finally bbroke and we're enjoying some beautiful late summer weather. You won't believe it, but I bought a pair of Fifo boots (which to me seem indistinguishable from the 5050s) on Posh in like-new condition for approximately 140$... I'm glad you found me! :D I used to run by Charles River every weekend and I loved running all the way to Newbury St. I always ended up shopping there with an iced tea in my hand.haha I think Boston in Spring time is absolutely amazing. :) I can recommend good restaurants for pages, but since I'm a HUGE Korean foodie, I recommend any Korean restaurants in Allston area!

moonbunnytoo Wow! Midwest! I’ve never lived there, just flying in to Chicago every so often for work. I was in Denver right around Halloween for the huge yearly interventional cardiology conference. The location changes every year. It will be in San Diego next year. It hosts some 10k people, so I’m sure there was hotel competition!

Yesterday had a scare from my daughter texting me that her school was in a lock down due to someone bringing handgun😖😖😡😡. So glad everyone is safe and the 2 students who brought their handguns were detained. Hope they will be expelled 😡😡
