metal alloy turtle desk magnifying glass

Hi there, I just picked this one up and thought it was pretty cool. I'm not sure of the metal - I'm assuming that it is a metal alloy. There is a mark that it is made in India. The piece is in excellent condition, as can be seen by photos. It has three pads on the bottom to avoid any scratches. My guess is that it is not vintage. The tag looks rather new, and I could not find an exact comparible, so I will defer any decision on its date. The turtle has some really cool detailing and would make for a good paper weight.. It's both handsomely designed and unique.. The piece measures approximately 8 inches long, 6.5 inches wide, and 7.5 inches tall. The magnifying glass itself is 3.5 inches wide.
