So this is me in the pic circa 2016 with all my thrifted garb in Germany—which happens to be one of my favorite places on earth. I remember every item of clothing that I packed for that trip— a lot of J. Crew if you can tell, hippy dippy finds and goodwill treasures. Those are my loves. I loaded up my backpack for a month with only a few items and came back with the memories. Since then most of the items have been sold to other people who I hope have and are enjoying them. But that is what clothes are for me. Each items when it’s second hand or third or fourth—it has a story. It reminds me of days when I went up to my granny’s room to secretly try on her costume jewelry to feel what it must have felt like to dress for nights in the City. It brings back memories of trying on my mom’s wedding dress. It even makes me recall my first visit to my local thrift shop. Whether it’s a families hand me downs or consignment finds, each piece you find here carries with it first hand memories that I hope will be handed off to someone who is curious to hear it.
